Kind of weird. I killed this guy while he was putting C4 on our tank and it didnt follow the tank.

yea....its a glitch. I bet it didnt happen the next round. it has happened to me before.

You see he used the word "he" when refering to who put C4 on the tank, indicating that the other guy was Spec Ops. Here I will quote it again with he in quotes so it is easier to see.
