Someone help me

Okay i just restored my computer in hopes of removing lag

i tried installing a new game i just bought but it get lag on single player. I meet/exceed all requirements but still get lag every 30 seconds. I have even turned down the settings so it looks like orginal mario (LOL).

can someone plz help me! I have just wasted over 2 hours of my life, i can never have back :roll:

wat other programs r u running while playing the games check that 1st that could be ur biggest problem and if ur on a lan withn other computers see wat they are doing while ur playing

Yeah I noticed when I reformatted my harddrive that games that I used to be able to play with no lag at all had lag, but only at first. AS I kept playing them, the lag went away. I don't know if its the same with you, but it worked for me.

not on lan, no programs running (even turned off norton)

i would try playing through it but it happens every 30 seconds

and be4 it is said, I have the lastest ATI driver

Well, I kept playing the game and ignoring it and I noticed that it went away and I never had it again with that game.

i just got the game to play a little longer without lag but about 5 minutes in the lag started again...

i may try the "play through method" but its hard when the damn bad guys are kill me LOL

lol use some cheats then at first till the lag goes away, then play normal

how long did it take u...just played for 30 minutes (still lag :evil: )

not sure if this is related but every now and then walk foward doesn't work...only sideways

lol dude thats what happen to me when i played call of duty for the first time man
what u need to do is reformat ur whole computer and reinstall everything cuz u have spyware and adware.
then install ur norton then get the micorsoft beta program for spyware and adware. then reinstall everything u should be able to play lag free. :D

already tried restored to factory settings, haven't even used the interent out side of TSH-clan.com so no spyware but stil lag

And what you mean by restoring your computer you reformatted it? If you didn't reformat it, then like Integra said, try that. And it took me probably a few days.

it shouldnt take that long like 1 hour at tops to reformat dude not 2 days. what are u running for windows? xp? 98?

Yeah I reformatted mine from 98 to 2000 and it didn't take that long. Maybe an hour-half
