i reformated my comp, running fast and fine and everything, took all the the updates fine, then i tried updating to SP2, whenever i do so, it stops 3/4 of the way through and blanks out. ive tried it 3 times, same thing, any tips? educated tips*. reformatted twice...

dont install it. I would never install sp2 again. fucked up my comp but I heard it actually helps some ppl. so do what you want at your own discretion

I think you r doing windows update from their website. You might need to download the full stuff. get the sp2 from here and try it.

I called microsoft and talked to them when I had problems. They suggested many things. One was to burn SP2 to a disk from the internet then load it. Could try that. Seemed to go fine with that.
